How do you apply Dipping Powder?

Step 1: Preparation

Start with clean and filed nails. Gently push back cuticles and remove any nail polish residue. Lightly file the nail plate to promote good adhesion. Thoroughly clean the nails to ensure they are oil free.

Step 2: Base Coat

Apply a thin layer of adhesive base coat to one nail. Make sure not to cover the nail completely, but leave a small space at the cuticles. This prevents the powder from touching the skin and helps prevent lifting.

Step 3: Dip

Gently dip the nail into the jar of dipping powder . Gently press the nail into the powder , then swirl from side to side to remove excess powder and finish with the brush to ensure all excess is removed. Repeat this step for each nail, one at a time. You can repeat this step 2-4 times until you reach the desired color and opacity. Usually two to three coats are sufficient.

Step 4: Activator

After applying the dipping powder, apply a layer of activator to each nail and let it dry for 1 to 2 minutes. The activator ensures that the powder hardens and forms a strong bond.

Step 5: File and Shape

Use a nail file to file the nails into the desired shape. Be careful and make sure you file evenly. Remove any roughness on the surface of the nails by lightly buffing.

Step 6: Top Coat

Apply a top coat to each nail for extra shine and protection. Let the top coat harden completely.

How do you remove Dipping Powder?

Step 1: File

Use a nail file to gently roughen and completely remove the top coat of the dipping powder. This will make the removal process easier.

Step 2: Soak Off Wraps

Moisten cotton pads with our remover or acetone and place them on each nail. Wrap the nails tightly with aluminum foil to keep the acetone in place. Let the wraps sit for about 10-15 minutes to let the acetone do its job.

Step 3: Remove

After soaking the nails in acetone, you can carefully remove the foil. Use a cuticle pusher or a cuticle pusher to gently push the loosened dipping powder off the nails. Be careful not to force anything to prevent damage to the natural nails.

Step 4: Hydrate

After the dipping powder has been completely removed, rinse hands thoroughly with water and gently pat dry. Apply a nourishing cuticle oil to moisturize the nails and cuticles.

By following these steps, you can enjoy beautiful dipping powder nails and remove them later in a safe and effective way. Don't forget to groom your nails regularly and take a break between applying new coats to maintain the health of your natural nails.
